Bill will provide tax relief for 43,000 in Louisville
(Washington, DC) Today, the House of Representatives passed the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) Relief Act of 2008, providing $50 billion in middle class tax relief nationwide. Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3) supported the bills passage, and released the following statement:
“This bill will prevent 43,000 Louisvillians from being unfairly taxed at a higher rate. It’s one more way that we can ease the burden on our hard-working families, and I will continue to fight for policies that help people with the skyrocketing cost of gasoline, food, healthcare, and education."
