Rep. Yarmuth to Host Service Academy Event for Local Students

LOUISVILLE – Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3) will host Louisville-area middle and high school students on Tuesday evening for U.S. Service Academy Information Night, an event designed to help students interested in the military academies understand the nomination and appointment process. Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will be in attendance, as well as staff from Yarmuth’s office to assist students with navigating the application process.

Julia Boswell, a Sacred Heart senior who was nominated to the U.S. Air Force Academy by Yarmuth and will attend the school in the fall, will discuss her experience as a past participant in the application and nomination process.
