Yarmuth Selected to Serve on Ethics Committee for 112th Congress

(Washington, DC) – Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3) has been selected to serve on the House Ethics Committee for the 112th Congress. Yarmuth is one of only five Democrats chosen for this Committee, which is officially charged with upholding the House's code of conduct, investigating violations, and recommending penalties for breaches of House rules.

“I am honored to be given this great responsibility for the 112th Congress, which includes establishing and enforcing the official standards of conduct for the House of Representatives, and ensuring that every member is held accountable to the rules of the House,” said Congressman Yarmuth.

Yarmuth's new role comes in addition to assignments to the House Budget Committee and the Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
